Ashley is a New York State licensed and nationally board certified acupuncturist as well as an herbalist. She graduated from New York College of Health Professions and holds a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with training in Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Ashley interned at two major practices while earning her degree, furthering her education on various subjects. She gained experience at Classical Acupuncture Methods of New York in Hempstead, where she focused on a more traditional style of acupuncture and moxibustion. She also gained experience at Think Acupuncture in Ronkonkoma, where she focused more on orthopedic conditions and sports related injuries. Before opening her own practice, Ashley worked as a practitioner at Point of Life Acupuncture in Coram for five years, where she gained experience working with pain, anxiety, fertility, and women’s health issues.
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Ashley received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY. Her background in biology and chemistry has given her a greater understanding of human anatomy and physiology. This increased knowledge base gives her the upper hand in diagnosis, treatment, and lifestyle recommendations.
Ashley’s main goal is to educate patients on how to live a healthier lifestyle, while treating her patients complaints as thoroughly as possible. This means not only treating the symptoms, but the root of the complaint or ailment. Ashley is committed to helping her patients find the most effective and nurturing path towards health; physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Ashley is married with a beautiful baby girl. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, reading, watching movies, and playing with her dog Todd.
